Julian Louie for Aldo

Hi guys,

A close up of my new wedges from the fantastic collaboration between Julian Louie and Aldo.
I was wearing them a few posts back and I was so lucky to find a pair, after reading pretty much everywhere they had been sold out. I love them truly and dearly, I think the print and the patchwork detail is amazing and I am so into navajo and ikat prints, so in my eyes they could not be more perfect!

It was real ♥ at first sight.

I was showing them to friend of mine and she said they were horrible! It really made me laugh because I think they are so amazing. How about you? What do you think of them?

See you soon.

Bone rings - Beyonce style

Hi guys,

Today sharing with you some pictures of some of my latest rings!
Wow, totally inspired by Beyonce, I think I got a bit excited with those bone rings and I could not resist buying just one of them!

I came across them a while back, whilst browsing through some American websites, as soon as I saw them, I knew they would be really cool, so I decided to buy 2 of them because I wasn't very sure of the sizing and how they would really be in real life. Anyways, when I received them after customs VAT and all that, I was SO pleased. They were really amazing and worth the hassle.
London fashion week came along and so I decided to wear them there, I received so many compliments and loads of people took pictures of my hand.

And then...
I just could not resit, I had to buy the other 2 (which were the last ones they had in stock!) to complete my hand.

My single lady hand, as I am calling it.

Inspired by....

Beyonce cyborg hand

Delfina Delettrez hand cuff

Both of them beautiful and expensive inspirations, I think mine is just as I eye catching though.
What do you think?

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and I'm sorry the blog has been quiet for the last few days, I have just have had no time lately, I have been so busy but I just wanted to say that the blog has not been forgotten at all, just going a bit slower, bare with me.

Missoni loves Havaianas

Hi guys,

Summertime news around here, Missoni paired up with Brazilian brand Havaianas for a new range of flip flops which will be available at Missoni shops. They are all very colourful with the traditional Missoni print and I am loving the alpargata style, which is perfect for someone like me, who can't really wear flip flops because I don't like anything in between my toes.

And they also come with a cute bag, which is perfect to complete your beach look. Sweet!

Are they Jeffrey Campbell or Vivienne Westwood ? No, just Topshop.

Hi guys,

I was at Topshop the other day and of course I saw many pair of really nice shoes, as you do. Although there were two styles in particular that really caught my eye.
Firstly, these gorgeous platform boots. Weirdly enough they looked quite familiar, hummmm... I think we know where their inspirations came from.

'Attitude' is definitely 'Lita's cousin! And I am sure they will be a HUGE success and well blogged about.

But our good old Topshop has really impressed me with some others look-a-likes this season... I could not believe when I came across a pair of boots called 'Drew', I think they will fly off the shelves and with no doubt will be extremely popular with Vivienne Westwood fans.

And here is why.

So, in this case the inspiration might have gone a step too far. 'Drew' are almost an exact copy of the 'Pirate' boots, they so could be sisters, but saying so the price difference is big and beacuse their similarity, I am so sure they will sell out soon.

What do you think of Topshop's new recipe for success? Do you think they are really coping it or just feeling inspired by? Would you buy any of the above?

See you soon.

Hermes pop up shop - J'aime mon carre

Hi guys,

I hope you all have been well, keeping yourselves warm, as our winter gets colder and colder.

I got some exciting pictures for you! If you are in London, around the Portobello/Westbourne Grove area, you should definitely pay a visit to the new Hermes pop up shop.

J'aime mon carre, is an exciting and fun experience! The whole idea is to learn new and different ways to tie your Hermes scarf up, but if you don't have one, you still you can have much fun... the scarves are there for everyone to play with, not intimidating in the slightest. It's a great idea because you can have a feel of them without the embarrassment of asking someone behind the counter, you guys know what is like, sometimes we get a bit shy.

But what really makes this experience so unique and exciting, are the ever so approachable stylists. They are there on hand, to give you ideas and style you. Even more exciting still -can this get any better?- is that after you have been styled, you can have your picture taken in a lovely 'J'♥ mon carre" frame. How cool is that!

And guess what all this services are free of charge!

Yeah, I love this photo album after my styling session, I had a lovely plait on my hair made of 'twillys', these thin silk scarves and this big bright silk orange scarf over my cardigan halter neck style. Tres hippie.
