Katie Couric won't be returning to the nightly news anchor desk once her contract is up June 4th. She will be going the syndicating hosting route instead. I hear there is a gaping hole in the talk show world...good for Katie. After 5 years of being 3rd place in the evening, I think it's been hard for her to find an audience, and, we know Katie can do it all. Good luck lady.
