Christmas Dinner

HO HO HO. I can feel the Christmas spirit coming.

Went to Christmas Dinner at Church. Last minute thing, glad I went. :) Got some extra tickets from Victor. Wooo, brimming with people this year. Church is always super active during Christmas.

James and Sim Kuan came to church. :)) Would be fun to see Bestarians overtaking FGT. Come come come! A lot of BSD 2 people there, too!

We were supposed to wear cultural dress... but I have no culture, so I came in some non-cultural red dress. I don't know, Santa's partner, maybe? Louise looked very cute in her yukata. Tracy was the only Hawaiian chick. And surprisingly, quite a lot of people have japanese clothing.

Tommy said I looked emo sometimes. I think I have a sad neutral face. :( I don't know. Pah. I don't want to look pissy and snubbish. OK, when I look sad, it's my normal face. Unless I only give some odd one word reply, which probably means I'm sulking. If you don't want to see my emo face talk to me and I'll smile. :) Hohoho.

Hard to do

Hi.

Finals coming, school boring. Like a dark cloud shadowing the cheery sun. Study study bla bla bla. Finish SPM still need GSCE (UK's equivalent of SPM). -.-

And then after finals it'll be pretty meaningless to attend school since the horrendous chain will galvanise into action. Student think it's meaningless, they don't come to school, others who come will think it's meaningless too, then it spreads. Pah. My class can't afford absentees because it has the least students in the form with 20 students!

Sometimes it feels cozy but sometimes I feel like there's too little girls and sometimes the boys are too rowdy.

After school, got some sushi at Rakuzen. OH SUSHI~ I LOVE YOU. Tried the avocado cheese yaki thing, but it wasn't so good. Others were OK. :) Must eat sushi at least once a week. And I thought the salt near the avocado thing was ice. Licked some. PUI!

Saw Shao Yang and King Jiat. Tuition at Desa Park, I think. Skipped school but go tuition. -.-

And then, napped. Heh, I've been having 5 hours of sleep every night for about 5 days. But the extra time is cut with decreased productivity. And, deng. I want to go out. But have to study.

Went to Church. More like sit and listen today. People came up and share. Interesting presentation. One about the famous Chilean miners rescue operation.

Did the personality test thing with a few people. Some people gave interesting answers like extinct animals and odd descriptions. Lol at Ruth and Eunice. :D

Garrett called my name. Man camcorder. Xuan offered to take over, which was nice because I was already whining how boring it was. I like talking to Church people, but manning the camcorder takes away that. Sit in different area, wished they use people in that area.

When I like something, I love it, when I dislike something, boy, I hate it. Manning the camcorder feels like being chained to the tripod and babysitting the camcorder. But then, it's already hard for me to sit still during sermon. Wait. This week is pastor Sam Wong. He's a funny one. :D

But in the end I called Garrett. :D Like a few minutes ago. HAHAHAHA. He was like, "What lah you!". Finally. Burden gone. Hohoho. Um. Feel guilty. I do want to serve the church and stuff but I like my freedom to sit wherever I want and find a comfortable place to sing and I'm selfish when it comes to protecting things I like. :x

I know I know. I admire Natalie for that. The being able to sacrifice.

Church was pretty fun.

Prayer meeeeting. Fewer people. Oddly, the funnest part was when the meeting was over. During the meeting we were separated to groups and we got shushed when we laughed too loud. :D Feeling a bit more loose since it's weekends. I love weekends.

And, I'm in the mood to go out but it seems like everyone is killing their social life for final exam. Poo. :( I want to go to Sungei Wang and get cheap cheap stuffs even though it's probably a LALA territory. I don't remember going to Sungei Wang. I WANT TO GO!

And I should really remind myself not to reveal too much about myself and others on this blog. Though sometimes I might do it on my expense. Sorry if I talked too much on your expense. I get carried away and forget that practically anyone can see this blog. Which is scary, because I post so much crap (stop asking me to blog more, Kula!).

And "THE HUNGER GAMES" is a nice book. One of those rare ones which are unputdownable. Such a yummy book to devour. I was wondering what the hype was about, and now I know why.

Reading is of utmost importance to mastering English. YOU KNOW???!!!!! Offered to borrow Mei Yen some books. She said she'll take a long time to return. I'm like, oh, nevermind, I can wait. And then she told me she'll read one page a day. WHICH MEANS- to finish a decent size novel, she might take A YEAR.

I'm gonna borrow her one to see how long she'll take. ;D

Anddd, when you don't read enough, your brain aren't going to process those chunks of words fast enough, you find it hard to construct good sentences, and the worse(behold!) you can't spell words which are more than two syllables.

The heck, I've seen people who can't spell words which are only a single syllable. But-not that I know how to spell everything. I just google when I'm not sure. :D And I'm also rubbish at Chinese. But I can read the common characters la!

Only knew how to after Form 2. Read chinese books with pin yin and then went to find their meanings and re-wrote the characters 10 times over. I'm not the studious type but I got fed up of being called "banana" and annoyed that I didn't know my own language.

Sometimes I wish I went to a chinese school, but I've always been in SSB. When I turn 17, I'd spent a decade studying there already. Well, if I die, this would be one of the places I'd haunt. Or would I go to heaven? Hmm. OK nevermind. I don't want to think about life after death. Because the only way to know is to die.

Sunday

Xuan came to church with me today. I know 4 people who go by the name "Sean"(well different spellings).

Um. I think this is one of those things which will bring a chain reaction. Xuan will be coming to church with me next week too. :)

Went to eat dim sum at Mandarin Oriental.

Muahahahahaha.

I almost forgot how the toilet looks like.

I think it holds the record for most mirrors in a toilet. All four walls, boom. I like it. I can see so many of me. Though it was creepy to be there alone. Eh, it's also creepy to blog about toilets...

The main point of going to Mandarin Oriental was for the mooncakes really. They're the best, darnest best that I've ever tasted in my mouth. Snow skin pandan om nom nom nom!

Pondered on what book to buy for a long long time. Goodreads.com is good for finding book reviews.

I am sleepy. Ho. Xuan slept around 3 last night, too.

On the way home Mei Yen asked me if I wanted to go Genting. Ooooh, sleepy. Too sleepy to have any more fun.

Blog book

Came back from Church. Is everybody at home watching FIFA nowadays?

Thought of turning my blog into a book someday, maybe 5 years from now. Pretty neat to file my teenage years in a blog and turn it into a diary, no?

Reading blogs are fun, they offer a peak into someone's life and thoughts. And I spent an hour fiddling around the blog template but ended up staying the same. :/ Well this is just more convenient. Only changed the font. I edited the HTML myself MUAHAHAHA.

Look! Lucian looks like the same size as me.

It's my brother's dog, but my brother can go for weeks without seeing him so I takeover. I like forcing my dogs to camwhore with me. It's fun to take pictures with a non-human, you know?

And not to leave Chuckie out because he's getting old already. Old buddy. I won't tell you how old exactly, but I got him when I was in primary school and I'm already 16.

Pfft, I'm gonna flood the house with tears if he ever leaves me.

I don't remember waking up at 6 something this year. Only took 8 minutes to get ready! Spent about an hour waiting before leaving BSD, though.

Sleepy. Slept like a pig on the way home.

Wisma Eagles is big. Got dunk in a pool for a second, then change clothes. Gave short testimony.

It's nice to be "officially" Christian.

Still sleepy, thou. I can't take naps. :( If I do I'd have a 3 hour nap for the least. If that happens it'll be hard for me to sleep at night. MONDAYS. Monday Blues. Bleurgh

The darkest hour is just before dawn.

Today was somewhat like my longest stay in Church. Until 3 o' clock. Sunday Service, FBI Meeting and Church Membership Seminar. I liked FBI Meeting most. :D. Youth. About self-confidence.


Uncle's newborn... not even a month old! This is the first time I've seen a baby this young. She looked so... helpless and innocent. Pregnancy is hard, but when you see the baby's face, it'll be all worth it.

But still, I find being around kids requires a HECKLOAD of compromise. Ugh. Not mature or kind enough yet. I like animals more... xD

Sigh, it's kinda hard not to be materialistic when your ambition is to be a fashion designer. But when I want something I don't look at it as material, I look it as an object of art. It's also nice to be sure of your ambition. My second ambition is to be a children's book illustrator. Well, not really. This life, I am going to be a fashion designer.

Which reminds me that I have to take out the sewing machine and start sewing again. :[

Anddd, if you hadn't already notice, I'm not emo anymore. It's good to be carefree again. I'm still not sure what came over me. But whatever! :DDD

I printed some sheets off the internet! Freeee. Am exchanging piano sheets with Louise next week. Lol. She showed me the painful side of being a ballerina(toes). But she can do en pointe! And it's always fascinating when a person has something they are good at, are passionate about, whether it's music, sports, or whatever!



This was yesterday at church. Ruth was working on a dreamcatcher!
I'm put on piano for Children's Church. Which was flattering considering I don't know how to play chords. Don't know how to improvise, but I will learn. People at church play music out of the thin air. I need sheets.

Had two laugh attack today. Those stomach and face-clenching types. NICEEE. One was with Mei Yen over how pronouncing meringue. We both failed terribly. Fikri can pronounce it very fluidly, because it's French. Another laughing fit was at the library, I usually sit with the same peeps, but Theng Loo took my seat when I went to find books so I sat with Yih Wern and gang. Boy, they like to laugh. Esspecially Jun Wen. It is much more effective to laugh with a friend than to watch a comedy. Laughing is infectious. Even more powerful when it's a laugh like Mei Yen's.

Tomorrow, have to be careful and stay on time for school. Have to fetch ol' Zhi Qi down the road in the morning! Haiz, I forgot where her house is. I'm (or my dad) is her driver this week. Her 'rents went out. FREEEE somemore!!! Great blackmail use. HEHE

I type a little too much in my blog posts most of the time. I like typing. Tak! Tak! Tak! Oh yeah, I had Sushi today. Though no Assam Laksa at school today. Drooool! And I actually enjoyed piano lesson. Usually I sulk a little because I have to do scales and the stuff for exams. But I now feel grateful to be able to take piano exam. Though, it'll be unnerving during my wait for results. Exam's on July, 2 more months. SIGHHH. Still need brushing up. And Oh God, I only have 2 months to learn Grade 5. OH MY, OH MY. I just realized this.OH MY CRACKERS.
People take like a year for one grade. I only have 2 months. OH MY. OH MY. I'll go open the theory book now. :(

Sad. Seriously? 2 months to learn Grade 5 theory? Serious? :(((
