Hair
The 1960’s was a time of statement making hairstyles. All lengths of hair had particular styles and some were more high maintenance than others. The 'Shrimp's' long straight tresses were quite popular, and so were the asymmetric bobs favored by Peggy Moffitt. Women also piled their hair high up on their heads back-combing or using hairpieces pinned with bows. The beehive was set and sprayed to ensure that they would not collapse. Both Twiggy and Vidal Sassoon had profound impacts on short hairstyles and were in many ways the two major influences that broke the mold of the typical bouffant look.
