What is there to say about all things metallic? It’s everywhere of course! Whether it is seen on tanks, jackets, leggings, & skirts – trend forecasters and designers can’t seem to get enough. It’s no big secret that metallic dresses are indeed show stoppers all by themselves, without being accompanied by accessories. Out of all of the Fall 2010 RTW collection, Balmain has taken center stage on the trend – giving many of us potential red carpet looks that may be seen on celebrities for the upcoming future. However, while many of us are not celebrities, so let’s adapt to the trend on a more modest note.

Now in 2011, the Metallic trend continues, stronger than ever!!

From celebrities on the red carpet to their normal chores, and to the runways across the globe, metal continues to be the inspiration of many designers and its not only restricted to clothing, but also bags, shoes, belts etc!

Kim Kardashian flaunted her curves by slipping into sexy Kaufman Franco dark gold halter- neck gownthat featured a thigh high slit. LeAnn Rimes dazzled the event in a gold v-neck gown Reem Acra sequined gown. Heidi Klum rocked 70s trend in a sequined Julien Macdonald number with cut-out shoulders and a leg slit.

Jennifer Lopez opted for a disco ball-chic silver Emilio Pucci thigh-grazing minidress. Rocking 2011 Grammy Awards silver gowns trend was Miley Cyrus. Miley rocked silver sequined gown with black trimming. Teen queen was donning a tiger-print Roberto Cavalli gown. Reality star Snooki sparkled in a short silver minidress.

Coming in bold gold metals was Anne Hathaway, who dazzled in a strapless, princess-like Valentino number against her milky skin, Brooke Shields sparkling as Michael Kors' arm-candy wearing his gold sequined-covered design, Claire Danes in burnished gold Burberry.

Those of the silver rank, although no less dazzling, included Donatella Versace in her own gilded criss-cross design, a raven-haired Nicole Richie in a glittering empire waist Marc Jacobs dress and event organizer and co-chairAnna Wintour in a ruched silver column gown topped by an embellished jacket courtesy of Chanel Haute Couture.

The Hills girls literally shined on the red carpet in gorgeous metallic colors. Lo Bosworth (in Gabriela Cadena), Stephanie Pratt (in Nicole Miller), and Audrina Patridge (in Isaac Mizrahi). Which dress do you like best?

Christina Aguilera wore a Versace gown with a metallic bodice that made her look like a futuristic Greek goddess. Anna Paquin looked glam in a gold Stella McCartney dress, while Heather Graham kept it subtle in a black, slitted gown by Elie Saab.
